Associate Teacher Orientation SY 23-24

Welcome to the Houston Independent School District!

We are thrilled you chose to join the elite, Team HISD. One of the first steps you will take as an Associate Teacher is attending virtual Associate Teacher Orientation (ATO). You must be fully cleared of the hire process by the Human Resources team to attend ATO.

ATO is a virtual training that is a private event only for HISD Associate Teachers who were recently hired into the district. Please DO NOT forward this to other employees and/or pending hires that are still going through the hire process.

When you register here you are putting your name on a list for the course to be assigned to you in OneSouce. As a reminder, you will not be allowed to attend ATO until fully cleared for hire by the Human Resources team. This means, DO NOT attend virtual ATO until you have an employee ID number and Welcome Letter from the Human Resources team.

Once it is verified that you are fully hired, you will receive an email from onboarding@houstonisd.org with instructions on how to complete the course.

We will cover the following objectives during virtual Associate Teacher Orientation (ATO):

• HISD Expectations of Associate Teachers
• Classroom Management Tips- Technology Overview (Email & HISD Portal)
• Frontline/AESOP (Substitute Management System)

During this training, you will learn how to set up your HISD network access (e-mail and password), AESOP/Frontline accounts, and access HISD platforms. We strongly encourage you to attend this training.

HOW TO COMPLETE TO ATO?

Information to complete virtual ATO will be emailed to you via the email address you register with. So please be sure to check your email (spam and junk mail as well) regularly. Please DO NOT email Onboarding to request the login information. If you previously registered for this event, please do not register multiple times. This will prevent other new hires from being able to register.
